Uday Kiran is given too classy look in the film ‘Viyyalavari Kayyalu’, say many. He lost that appeal which was there before, comment a few. Some say that he is looking like a debut actor in the posters of the film. Sri Hari dominated the posters those were released till now. Uday Kiran is given very submissive impression on a whole. How far the film pushes the career of Uday Kiran has to be seen.
Right now the publicity activity is going on for the promotion of songs in the film.
Akkineni Nageshwara Rao said, “The title of the film is as old as 1935. But the music is on par with the standards of 2035. So, it’s a right blend of old and new”. The music is getting considerably good response in the market.
Putting this aside, Uday Kiran was given mass look in other film ‘Lakshmi Putrudu’ in which he is pairing up with Diya.

Uday’s Lakshmi Putrudu music launched September 3, 2007

Ankita donning the avatar of Goddess Lakshmi and presenting audio albums to hero Uday Kiran was the unique feature of Lakshmi Putrudu’s music launch ceremony. The film’s music was released on Sunday evening (Sept 02, 2007) at Ravi Narayanareddy auditorium. Minister Damodar Reddy released the first cassette.
Lakshiputrudu stars Uday Kiran and Diya as the lead pair and is produced by Polishetty Rambabu. Tamil director Raj Kapoor is helming the film while D Imman scores the music.
Uday Kiran said that he is touched by the love and warmth of Telugu people.
“Wherever I go, they meet me and wish me a success. I am very fortunate on this. Lakshmi Putrudu has good story and a good producer. When I first was informed that Imman is scoring music, I asked my producer who he is. By the time when I went to shooting, I was in awe. I was amazed by his music,” Uday said.
Brahamanadnam said he is doing a parody on Rajnikant’s Shivaji in the film. “I was first shocked when the producer informed me this. Rajnikant’s slim personality is contrast to my rounded figure. It was tough to enact but my producer and director is very after they saw the rushes. I should thank my producer for making me travel in a helicopter much like what Rajni did in Shivaji,” he informed about his character.

Young hero Uday Kiran who is making come back again has got a shock from senior director Tammareddy Bharadwaja. Tammareddy, the outspoken film personality, reprimanded Uday Kiran for sticking to the policy of ‘working with established directors or producers’.
“When Teja selected you as hero, was he a big director? Or were you a big hero? I heard that you are declining many offers on the grounds of the directors are newcomers. You should not be like that. When people are willing to work with you, grab the opportunity,” Tammareddy took the ‘class’.
This incident was happened at music launch of Uday Kiran’s Lakshmi Putrudu. Uday took this ‘friendly reprimand’ in his stride and replied that he will now act as Tammareddy suggested.
