The news about Dasavatharam is getting bigger and bigger as each day passes by. After the Sivaji fever, now the Dasavatharam fever has slowly started to catch up, with every small detail about the movie being analyzed by the fans and the media alike. Almost every website and print journal had told about the tsunami episode in the movie.
We had also reported about the huge waves that were created by the technical team with the help of humungous wind fans deployed by the sea shore.
According to inputs from sources inside Kollywood, it seems that the team had gone all out for the scene.
To make it even more real and massive, atom bomb explosions in the mid sea have also been employed.
The biggest challenge with such explosions was coordinating the same with the shots that were canned.
The timing of the explosions and the coordination of the cast needed to be impeccable.
It is said to be easily one of the most difficult sequences and the highlight of the movie. Just cannot wait to catch it up on the silver screen, can you?

Is Oscar Award Committee sleeping? Why it won’t honor Kamal Hasan with Oscar? This is the narration on a TV Channel yesterday. That sounds true to some extent. But hitting Oscars is something different from a cake walk.
A few minutes of program on Kamal Hasan’s Sagarasangamam rolled on small screen. It is said that Kamal Hasan brought masculine touch for classical dance with this film. Classical dance is considered to be feminine until then. That is really true. It’s just with that film. There are innumerable number of films to say high about acting prowess of Kamal Hasan. Vasantha Kokila, Erra Gulabeelu, Vichitra Sodarulu, Indrudu Chandrudu, Swaty Mutyam, Pushkavimanam…what not, everything is worth to be archived.
His expressions, his ability to show multiple facets of his acting talent are known for all. Kamal Hasan is an unbeatable actor in Indian Cinema. But Oscar committee was always biased and it hardly recognizes Asian films.
Kamal Hasan’s idea is to turn the heads of Hollywood towards him. He attempted ‘Marudanayagam’ with the same idea but things didn’t work in his favor. He is now making ‘Dasavataram’ with an idea to hit Oscar doors. He hired many Hollywood technicians for the same purpose. He feels contended if any Hollywood technician is given award for ‘Dasavataram’. But Indians will recognize Oscar as an award if it honors Kamal Hasan. Aren’t we!

Movie: Dasavatharam
Dasavatharam, the film starring Kamal Hassan in 10 different roles, is facing problems even before its release. The actor-director is being accused of stealing the story from Senthil Kumar, an assistant director, who had filed the review petition with the honorable court in Chennai when his earlier petition was dismissed in favor of the actor. The review petition is coming up for hearing tomorrow (August 7th). Chief Justice AB Shaw ruled that the script of Dasavatharam along with an affidavit be submitted to the court. However, Kamal’s lawyer Sanjay Ramaswamy contended that such an act would lead to disclosure of the story which in turn would be a big problem to the entire project. However, the justice didn’t allow the contention. Kumar claims that the script for the film was written by him and on August 8, 2005, he gave the same to Murali, an employee of Rajkamal Films, which happens to be Hassan’s production company. The film is a mega production and apparently just one song of the movie is budgeted at Rs 3 crore. The film is being shot about 25 km from Chennai.
